The MAYLILY natural brush was selected especially for the delicate care of products made from high-weight merino wool fleece.
Made from beech wood and soft, trimmed horsehair, it gently helps tidy the surface of the wool, remove loose fibres and refresh the characteristic soft, fluffy appearance of merino fleece.
Its soft bristles do not pull aggressively at the fabric and, when used correctly, allow you to care for merino without harsh rubbing.
We especially recommend it for the care of high-weight MAYLILY merino fleece products.
Gently removes loose fibres
Loose fibres may naturally appear on the surface of merino fleece. Brushing helps remove them carefully.
Helps restore the fluffy structure
Soft horsehair helps align the fibres and improve the even appearance of the fleece surface.
Refreshes the look of the product
Gentle regular care helps maintain the characteristic softness and appearance of wool fleece.
Soft horsehair bristles
The trimmed horsehair is gentle and well suited to natural wool care.
Comfortable compact size
The round 7 cm shape fits comfortably in the hand and makes it easy to control the pressure while brushing.
Natural materials
The brush is made from beech wood and horsehair.
Merino fleece has a characteristic soft and fluffy surface made up of many delicate fibres.
During normal use, some fibres may move, flatten or remain loose on the surface. This is connected with the natural structure of wool, especially in soft, high-weight fleece fabrics.
Gentle brushing can:
remove loose surface fibres,
help align the wool pile,
separate lightly compacted fibres,
refresh the fluffy structure,
improve the overall appearance of the surface.
The brush does not change the natural properties of the wool. It is simply a tool for gentle mechanical care of the fleece surface.
Lay the product on a flat surface.
Make sure the fabric is completely dry.
Brush gently.
Do not press the brush firmly into the fabric. Let the soft bristles do the work.
Use short, calm strokes.
It is best to work gradually on small areas.
Brush in one direction.
This helps the fleece surface look more even.
Repeat gently where needed.
Instead of increasing pressure, use a few additional light strokes.
Shake out the brush after use.
Remove any loose wool fibres collected in the bristles.
Merino should always be brushed gently and without strong pressure.
Avoid aggressive repeated brushing in one spot or quick movements in different directions.
Do not brush wet wool.
The brush can be used:
when loose fibres appear on the surface,
when the fleece becomes slightly flattened,
after longer periods of use,
after seasonal storage,
whenever you want to refresh the appearance of the merino fleece.
There is no need to brush the product after every use. Use the brush only when the surface needs refreshing.
This brush is especially suitable for our products made from high-weight merino fleece, whose soft, fluffy surface requires a different type of care than smooth knitted wool.
It offers a simple way to care for the material at home and help keep it looking beautiful over time.
After each use, shake out the bristles and remove any collected wool fibres.
Do not soak the brush.
Water may negatively affect the appearance of the untreated beech wood. This does not mean the brush loses its properties, but the wooden surface may change visually.
Store the brush in a dry place.
The brush is made without the use of glue.
For this reason, a small amount of horsehair may come loose during the first few uses. This is a natural feature of the brush construction and does not affect its functionality or durability.
